Mar 24 - Asciidoc, Clojure, and a New Website
Tags: Cryogen Clojure Webdev AsciidocMaking a new website is something I’ve always dreaded. All the little details of web development have always made me grind my teeth and I always end up abandoning the project. So this time I did something different: no Node, minimal JavaScript, and learn as many new tools as I can. Well, while looking through some options I stumbled upon Cryogen, a tool that generates static sites using templates written in pure HTML and CSS. Additionally, Cryogen is written in Clojure, a language that I’ve absolutely never thought about before. On top of this, it offered me another option: instead of writing my pages in Markdown, I could use AsciiDoc, yet another brand new tool! Safe to say, I was excited to learn.
